C.S. Duffy wrote scripts for film and TV for over a decade, and when that made her so bitter she caught herself cycling past the office of a production company giving it the finger she quit the film industry and went to teach preschool.
During the kids’ naps she wrote Life is Swede, a thriller in the form of a blog, which caused several readers to contact Swedish news agencies asking why they weren’t reporting on the murders. It led her into the wonderful world of self publishing, and two years later her bestselling series Glasgow Kiss was selected for Crime in the Spotlight at Bloody Scotland in 2018. Her original audio series for Storytel, supernatural thriller The Stranger is running in 17 countries and three languages and was recently optioned for TV.
She’s currently writing the second season of The Stranger/Annars Tar Jag Dig, working on the development of a major US/Swedish period drama in Stockholm and a feminist gangster drama set in sixties Glasgow. After emigrating to Sweden on a whim she now lives between Glasgow and Stockholm and got the idea for her first crime thriller while working on an oil refinery in Ohio.
